Eric,

I recently realized through being pregnant that not only do I have to make decisions for myself, but for the baby as well, that I need to better my life. You aren’t ready for this, and I don’t blame you. It happened quickly, only knowing each other for seven months and already expecting a child together is not something I think we are ready for. You may want to be ready to settle down, but deep down you aren’t. You deserve to have that life, Eric. You deserve to go out and see what’s out there for you. I couldn’t live with myself knowing that you felt trapped or that you stopped living because of me. I should’ve been more careful to protect myself until we were ready to start having kids, but I screwed up. I forgot. And you shouldn’t have to pay the consequences for that. I knew you were used to the single life before me and now I’ve ruined it. I’ve ruined your life. So please just continue on without me. You’ll be much happier that way. I love you.
